Shipping & Plant Guarantee

Last Updated: September 2026

At TexturedPot, we carefully prepare every plant for its journey and want you to feel confident when ordering from us. Because live plants may respond differently to shipping, weather, and a new growing environment, we’ve created the following guidelines to help your plants arrive safely and get the best possible start in their new home.

Our goal is not only to send you a healthy plant, but also to support you along the way. If you ever have questions about your order or your plant after arrival, we’re always happy to help.

1. Order Processing & Shipping Schedule

We carefully coordinate our shipping schedule around plant availability, weather conditions, and carrier transit times to help each plant travel as safely as possible.

Orders are typically prepared on Saturdays and processed within 1–2 weeks, depending on plant availability.

We ship via UPS or USPS depending on the plant type, package size, and destination. Shipping schedules may be adjusted around carrier holidays or other circumstances that may affect safe delivery.

If you would like us to hold your order or reschedule your shipment, please contact us at onlinesales@texturedpot.com.

Order Cancellation

We understand that plans can change. Orders may be canceled at any time before tracking information has been issued.

To request a cancellation, please contact us at onlinesales@texturedpot.com as soon as possible. Once tracking information has been issued, the order can no longer be canceled.

2. Plant Preparation & Shipping Standards

Every plant is carefully prepared before shipping with its health and safety in mind. A freshly prepared plant may look different from the photos in the listing, but these preparations are intentional and help reduce stress during transit.

Pruning Before Shipping

To help plants travel safely, we may prune branches, roots, leaves, flowers, and flower buds before shipping. This helps reduce water and nutrient loss during transit and allows the plant to better tolerate the shipping process.

Plants are pruned to a safe shipping length and are generally shipped without their original containers. The soil and root ball will be securely wrapped for transit.

During hot-weather shipping, we may remove some or all leaves to reduce water loss and help protect the plant during transit. Leaf removal is a normal part of our shipping preparation and is not considered plant damage.

Don’t be concerned if your plant looks a little bare when it arrives. Once established in its new environment, a healthy plant will typically begin pushing fresh new growth within approximately 2–3 weeks during the active growing season.

Minor Shipping Damage

We take great care when packing every plant, but because plants are living and delicate, minor cosmetic damage can occasionally occur during transit.

Minor branch breakage, leaf loss, wilting, or damage to flowers and buds does not necessarily affect the overall health of the plant.

Damaged branches can usually be pruned back to healthy green tissue. With proper care and a little time, healthy plants are often able to recover and produce fresh new growth.

3. Weather & Delivery

The health of your plant comes first. Different plant varieties have different levels of heat and cold tolerance, so we carefully consider weather conditions when preparing shipments.

If we determine that weather conditions may create an unreasonable shipping risk, we may contact you to postpone shipment until conditions are more suitable.

During periods of extreme heat or cold, please retrieve your package as soon as possible after delivery and move the plant to a protected environment. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, freezing temperatures, or extreme heat after delivery can cause serious damage.

Damage caused by extreme weather or prolonged exposure after confirmed delivery is not considered shipping damage.

4. Upon Arrival & Plant Care

Please inspect your plant promptly after delivery and remove it from its shipping packaging.

Shipping and transplanting can be stressful for live plants, and every plant may respond a little differently. Temporary wilting, leaf drop, yellowing, or a pause in new growth after transit does not always mean something is wrong.

Plants should be planted in the ground or an appropriately sized container promptly after arrival. Newly arrived plants may benefit from being kept in a shaded, well-ventilated location while they recover from shipping and transplant stress.

Depending on the condition of the plant, we may recommend allowing it a few weeks to rest and recover before determining whether there is a long-term issue. Plants can be remarkably resilient, and with proper care and a little time, they will often settle in and begin producing healthy new growth.

Minor branch or stem breakage may occasionally occur during transit. In most cases, this does not affect the overall health of the plant. Damaged portions can usually be pruned back to healthy tissue as the plant recovers.

We’re here to help you give your new plant the best possible start. For detailed instructions on planting, watering, sunlight, fertilizing, and acclimation, please visit our Plant Care & Tips page.

5. After-Sales Support & Plant Guarantee

We stand behind the quality of the plants we ship and want you to be happy with your purchase.

If something doesn’t look right when your plant arrives, please reach out to us. Many shipping-related concerns can be resolved with proper recovery care and a little time. If there is a genuine problem with the plant, we’ll work with you to determine the appropriate next step.

Report an Issue

Please inspect your plant upon delivery. If your plant arrives dead, severely damaged, or appears to have a serious health issue, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at onlinesales@texturedpot.com.

Please provide clear photos showing the entire plant and its plant label. If the concern involves a specific part of the plant, please include clear close-up photos of the affected area as well.

These photos help us evaluate the condition of the plant and provide the most appropriate recommendation or resolution.

What We Cover

Our after-sales support covers:

  • Plants that arrive dead
  • Severe damage during transit
  • Plants that continue to decline after arrival despite appropriate initial care
  • Incorrect plants or varieties

In some cases, we may recommend a recovery period and provide care instructions before determining the appropriate resolution. Please give us the opportunity to help your plant recover whenever possible.

What Is Not Covered

We’re committed to helping you get your plant off to a healthy start. However, once a plant has been successfully delivered and planted, its continued growth and performance depend on many factors outside of our control, including local climate, soil, watering, sunlight, fertilization, and ongoing care.

Our guarantee does not cover the following:

Common Plant Diseases & Pests: Fungal diseases, bacterial diseases, pests, and other naturally occurring garden problems that develop after delivery.

Weather Events: Damage caused by extreme or unusual weather conditions, including frost, freezes, heat waves, storms, or other severe weather events.

Neglect or Improper Care: Damage or plant loss resulting from improper watering, fertilizing, planting, sunlight exposure, transplanting, or other unsuitable growing conditions.

Delayed Planting: Plants that are left unplanted or remain in their shipping packaging for more than 48 hours after delivery.

Normal Shipping Preparation: Pruning, root trimming, leaf removal, and removal of flowers or flower buds performed as part of our shipping preparation are normal practices and are not considered plant damage.

Minor Transit Damage: Minor branch or stem breakage, leaf loss, or damage to flowers and buds that does not affect the overall health or viability of the plant is not considered severe shipping damage.

Resolution & Store Credit

Depending on the condition of the plant, we may first recommend recovery care or additional monitoring time. Each case will be evaluated individually based on the condition of the plant and the information provided.

If your claim is approved, you will receive store credit equal to the amount paid for the affected plant after any applied discounts, excluding taxes and shipping charges.
