Bougainvillea 'Splash' is an excellent, free-flowering bougainvillea variety in a soft, light color palette. It is especially loved for its elegant, airy pink-and-white bicolor bracts and its strong, vigorous growth habit. This variety is commonly used for container display as well as garden and landscape planting.
It is a woody, vine-type shrub that prefers full sun and a warm, moderately humid environment. 'Splash' has a long blooming season and produces abundant flowers. During spring and summer, when light levels are high, the colors appear fresh and delicate; in fall and winter, the tones become slightly deeper. Together with Bougainvillea 'Makris', it is regarded as one of the three cultivars collectively known as the "Best Three Bougainvillea" group.
