Blooming Size, Exotic Yellow Flower with Red Stripes, Rare Orchid - Live Plant
This species is a small-sized, warm to cool-growing epiphyte found near the Thai border in Laos and central Vietnam at elevations of 800 to 1500 meters. It has a creeping, woody rhizome with closely set, adpressed ellipsoid pseudobulbs that are slightly ribbed. Each pseudobulb supports a single, apical, erect, elliptic-lanceolate leaf. The plant blooms in the spring on a basal, erect to patent inflorescence, 1 to 1.2 cm long, with 2 to 3 bracts and a single flower. The floral bracts are tubular and shorter than the ovary.
