Bulbophyllum moniliforme, also known as the necklace-like bulbophyllum, is a tiny, warm to hot-growing epiphytic orchid from Southeast Asia. This miniature species loses its small leaves in the fall and blooms in late winter to early spring on bead-like pseudobulbs. The flowers are white with orange stripes and have a translucent quality, best viewed with a hand lens. Despite its small size, it’s easy to grow with regular misting and high humidity. It thrives when mounted and is best suited for warm, humid environments.
