This species is a mini-miniature, cool-growing epiphyte found in Malaysia, Sumatra, and the Philippines, typically at elevations of 1000 to 1500 meters. It has small pseudobulbs spaced 2 to 3 cm apart, each carrying a single lanceolate leaf. The plant blooms in summer with a 10 cm long, slender, 4-flowered inflorescence held at leaf height. It should be grown in a pot or basket with fast-draining medium and partial shade. Watering should be frequent, with 4 to 7 waterings per week to keep the medium moist.
