Fragrant, Blooming Size, Stunning Spotted Orchid - Live Plant
This species is a large, bifoliate to trifoliate, warm-growing epiphyte found in coastal forests below 100 meters in southern Brazil. It has cylindrical pseudobulbs that are slightly thickened at the apex, subtended by white sheaths, and carries 2 apical, oblong-elliptic, leathery leaves with sharp to serrated edges. The plant blooms in mid-summer on an erect, racemose inflorescence with 3 to 10 fragrant flowers, subtended by a green sheath on a newly arising pseudobulb.
