Flamea form of Cattleya walkeriana.
Cattleya walkeriana is found in the states of Goias, Minas Gerais, Espirito Santo, and Sao Paulo in Brazil, typically growing on giant old trees on rocky limestone plateaus, small trees, or moist rocks near streams at elevations up to 2000 meters. It has jointed, bulbous or shortly fusiform, shiny yellow pseudobulbs that carry a single (rarely two), apical, elliptic or ovate, leathery leaf with a rounded apex. The plant blooms mostly in the fall, but flowering can occur at other times. The 7.5 cm long, arcuate inflorescence bears 1 to 3 fragrant flowers, with a scent ranging from vanilla to cinnamon, and the flowers open very flat.
