Nishikiba-fukurin-ikkyū is a rare foliage sport of the classic Fukurin-ikkyū camellia, prized for its striking variegated leaves with irregular yellow-green margins. The small oblong foliage provides ornamental interest even outside the blooming season.
Flowers are soft pink with crimson streaks and veining, accented by white-edged petals. Blooms are small lotus-form to semi-double, featuring a delicate structure with a reduced stamen cluster at the center.
Flowers measure approximately 2.4–2.8 inches in diameter and bloom from February through March. The plant has an upright, vigorous growth habit and is highly valued by collectors for both its unique foliage and elegant blooms.
