Phalaenopsis difformis, commonly known as the dark brown phalaenopsis, is native to Assam, the West Himalayas, and Southeast Asia. This species blooms twice a year, once in spring-summer and again in winter. Its flowers are distinct from typical Phalaenopsis, with a uniquely shaped lip that is longer than the sepals, featuring recurved side lobes with row-like projections. This unusual lip shape attracts pollinators and serves as a landing platform for insects. Plants available for sale are seedlings in 50mm tubes.
