This medium-sized, warm-growing epiphyte from the Celebes Islands, Indonesia, produces beautiful bronze flowers throughout summer and late fall. The spikes should not be cut, as they will rebloom from old spikes. Grown from seed since 2008, the plant features glossy, recurved green leaves and a 5 to 7-inch long inflorescence that bears 3 to 5 flowers, which open successively. Though the flowers have an unpleasant scent, they thrive with even watering and fertilization year-round, mimicking their naturally wet habitat.
